Henry is getting big, not just growing, but getting big. He far outweighs and "out-heights" the other boys. He is also been the busiest baby we have ever had.
At just over twenty months, he loves to chat and dance. He is my little transporter and goes through phases of different things he like to cart around. For a while I would have to hunt for my hairbrushes, we are always loosing toothbrushes and he loves "shooz" (shoes). He also has an affinity for eating non-edible items. Brian's deoderant has teethmarks, bars of soap at the cabin had chunks taken out of them, hand sanitizer, the tops of the boys markers, crayons, paper, licks sun screen and I'm pretty sure he would drink the vinegar I wash the windows with if he could get into the locked cupboards. Which also marks the first time we have "baby-proofed". Despite what one might think with the above diet, he is very clever and knows how to be sneaky. He will look at me and say "no, no" and then proceed to do his naughty deed. He has been a challenge for me to figure out how to keep him out of trouble.
Fortunately, he is also about the sweetest little lovey. He will cuddle with me in the morning as long as I can stay in bed (which is wonderful in the summer). He loves to come sit right next to me or on me and snuggle in. He yells "Daddy" when Brian gets home and runs to give him big hugs. He will give his brothers hugs all the time and loves to squeeze his cousin Livi too.
The flip side of this is that he is a bit of a Mama's boy and has a great disdain for nursery. He screams like you chopped off his limb when you leave him. He also cries when Brian leaves in the morning or when the boys leave somewhere without him. He will go into a room and call "guys" and try to find them.
He loves his Doggy. Sammy and him have a tender little bond. I think he is happier to see Sammy in the morning than us sometimes. He will lay on, sit on and open mouth kiss the dog. Poor Sammy endures the torturing too! Henry will say "Doggy" when he is done eating, which translates to: "Get me out of my seat or I will feed all my food to the Dog".
He rarely sits still enough to watch a show, but does love the opening credits to Baby "nine-nine". H likes to sing "the itsy-bitsy spider", play tackle, and sing "popcorn popping". He is a crack up to watch dance in the car in his seat. He would love to be naked all the time and eats just about anything. I'm pretty sure he thinks rasins are fruit snacks. If he can be "side" (outside) he is happiest.
I asked Ben the other day if he liked having a little brother and he said: " I love him right now, but I know he is going to grow up to be like Jeff and Luke." Apparently, he is still a fun baby!
We love our "Big Payche" and can't wait to see his personality continue to develop. I think we are all in for a very fun ride.
We are very glad we got an H-chy.
